Cantor Fitzgerald Invests $3 Billion in Bitcoin Through New Venture with SoftBank, Tether, and Bitfinex

Cantor Fitzgerald has joined forces with leading cryptocurrency players Tether, Bitfinex, and Softbank to form a $3 billion Bitcoin investment vehicle. The venture, named 21 Capital, will receive $3 billion in Bitcoin from the participating companies. Tether (USDT) is expected to contribute $1.5 billion, while SoftBank and Bitfinex are set to invest $900 million and $600 million, respectively. The company plans to leverage this investment to create a publicly traded vehicle that tracks Bitcoin’s performance through direct holdings. The model will mirror Strategy’s approach of acquiring BTC through debt and equity, as seen in their acquisition of over 530,000 BTC for $36.4 billion.
