Paul Atkins Sworn In As New SEC Chair

Paul Atkins has officially assumed the role of Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), marking his return to the agency after a previous tenure from 2002 to 2008. The appointment comes nearly two weeks after receiving Senate confirmation with a 52-44 vote on April 9th. 2023.
