The Ethereum Foundation has announced a shift in its priorities, led by Tomasz K. Stańczak as co-executive director. This change comes after the recent appointment of Stańczak and following Vitalik Buterin’s recent proposal to replace Ethereum’s Virtual Machine (EVM) with RISC-V for improved scalability. Stańczak emphasizes that this shift reflects the Foundation’s focus on operational aspects, including Layer 1 scaling, Layer 2 support, user experience enhancements, and interoperability. This includes implementing changes like the upcoming Pectra upgrade, Fusaka, and Glamsterdam. The move aims to expedite progress in these areas while recognizing community input.
