Slovenia Implements New Crypto Taxation: 25% Rate for Gains

To align cryptocurrency with other investment income, such as stocks or bonds, Slovenia introduces a 25% tax on crypto gains. This applies to exchanges of crypto into fiat currency or use in purchasing goods and services, but not intra-crypto transactions. A key feature is the exemption for pre-January 1, 2026, profits, offering clarity to investors.
