Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has partnered with technology company Palantir to develop a sophisticated software system called ImmigrationOS for enhanced immigration tracking. This initiative aims to improve the agency’s ability to identify individuals who have overstayed their visas or choose to self-deport, aligning with President Trump’s executive orders focused on illegal immigration and transnational organized crime. The $30 million contract expands a previous agreement between ICE and Palantir under the Biden administration for support services. The software is designed to streamline the enforcement process by providing near real-time tracking and data sharing capabilities with Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
