Bybit Hacker Continues Ethereum Theft: Over $170 Million Moved

A hacker involved in the recent Bybit theft continues their illicit activities, transferring a significant amount of stolen Ethereum over the past 24 hours. According to monitoring from EmberCN, they have moved 71,000 ETH worth approximately $170 million since February 22nd. This brings the total laundered value to 206,000 ETH, representing 41% of the initial $499,000 stolen. The hacker’s activities include converting Ethereum into various other on-chain assets at an average daily rate of 45,000 ETH. Currently, they hold over 292,000 ETH worth about $685 million in their address, suggesting that the laundering process is ongoing and may continue for a while.
