Cryptocurrency Market Sees $267 Million in Liquidations Over Past 24 Hours

The cryptocurrency market experienced significant liquidations over the past 24 hours, with a total of $267 million lost. According to data from ChainCatcher and Coinglass, long positions accounted for $180 million in losses, while short positions contributed an additional $87.3 million. This was largely driven by Bitcoin, where long position liquidations amounted to $60.86 million, and short position losses were at $29.64 million. Ethereum experienced a similar trend, with long position liquidations totaling $55.94 million and short position losses reaching $30.11 million. A total of 92,772 traders also suffered losses during this period. The largest individual liquidation occurred on the Hyperliquid platform, involving the BTC-USD pair for a staggering $5.31 million.
