Connecticut Cracks Down on Unlicensed Sports Betting Platforms

Connecticut has issued cease and desist orders to three major online platforms, Robinhood, Kalshi, and Crypto.com, accusing them of operating unlicensed sports betting through their event contracts. The state’s Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) claims these companies were promoting wagering without proper authorization and violated various state rules, including restrictions on users under 21 years old.
