Cayman Islands Sees Surge in Foundation Companies as Web3 Adoption Booms

The Cayman Islands is experiencing a surge in foundation company registrations, fueled by the growing adoption of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). According to Cointelegraph, over 1,300 companies have registered their foundation status with the government by the end of 2024. This represents a significant increase of 70% year-on-year. With more than 400 new registrations already recorded in 2025, these companies are increasingly sought after as a legal structure for DAOs and for ecosystem stewardship within major Web3 projects.
