The company’s presence as a ‘Builder’ within the Pledge 1% network highlights their ongoing contribution to impactful non-profit organizations and universities worldwide. Over $250 million in donations have been pledged through Ripple’s dedicated program known as Ripple Impact, which aims to leverage blockchain technology to address systemic challenges within the philanthropic sector. The company has notably committed over $80 million directly to academia through the University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), partnering with 80+ universities across the globe. Their impact extends beyond academia and includes contributions to immediate relief efforts following events such as the Turkey-Syria earthquakes. Ripple also played a crucial role in supporting voluntary carbon market development, investing $100 million towards scaling these mechanisms in 2022.
