Stellar Introduces Privacy Features with Protocol X-Ray, Enabling Secure Transactions

The Stellar network has a track record of facilitating efficient cross-border payments and asset tokenization, handling billions in transactions monthly through its open-source blockchain. Now, Protocol X-Ray, introduced as part of Protocol 25, aims to integrate privacy features while maintaining transparency, offering developers the flexibility to balance confidentiality and accessibility. This innovation will be implemented across Stellar’s network after a two-stage rollout, starting with Testnet on January 7, 2026 followed by Mainnet on January 22, 2026.
