El Salvador’s Bitcoin Service Providers Struggle for Operational Success

Only a small fraction of El Salvador’s Bitcoin service providers have met operational requirements set by the country’s law, according to recent data from the Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador. A total of 181 providers registered with the central bank are still in operation, but less than 20 have fully complied with the legal framework and necessary compliance standards. El Mundo reported that only 11% of these providers are currently active, while a majority face operational hurdles due to failing to meet Bitcoin Law requirements.
