On December 2, the Bitcoin kimchi premium hit 2.23% in South Korea’s crypto market. Trading at 128.94 million KRW on Upbit as of 12:00 AM KST, the cryptocurrency experienced a 5.02% decrease from the previous day. This resulted in a significant price gap of 2.81 million KRW with Binance showing an even more drastic difference at 126.13 million KRW. The kimchi premium was notably higher than Ethereum’s 2.16%. Altcoins also displayed substantial premiums, ranging from Solana’s 3.17% to Dogecoin’s impressive 3.56%, and World Liberty Financial (WLFI) at 2.09%. Overall, the majority of top altcoins are currently trading with kimchi premiums in the low 2% to mid-3% range.
