Visa Teams Up with AquaNow for Faster Stablecoin Settlements in CEMEA

Visa has partnered with AquaNow to streamline stablecoin settlements within the Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (CEMEA) region. This collaboration aims to reduce transaction friction and expedite settlement times, with projections indicating a $2.5 billion annual run rate for USDC payments in this region. The partnership leverages AquaNow’s liquidity solutions to enhance operational efficiency, enabling Visa’s financial partners to experience faster transactions. Godfrey Sullivan, Head of Product and Solutions for CEMEA at Visa, emphasized the potential cost reductions and reduced settlement friction as a result of this initiative. This collaboration aligns with Visa’s strategic vision to modernize payment infrastructures by incorporating digital assets into traditional systems.
