SEC Unveils New Guidelines to Speed Up Crypto ETF Approvals

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has implemented new guidelines aimed at accelerating the approval process for cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs). These updates follow a lengthy government shutdown, which led to a significant backlog of over 900 pending registration filings. The SEC has issued technical guidance outlining how ETF application issuers can expedite their submissions under Section 8(a) and Rule 461 of the Securities Act of 1933.
