The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has issued a strong warning about the potential risks associated with the rapid expansion of ‘tokenized’ money market funds. These digital assets, which represent traditional investment funds converted into tokens on blockchain networks, have seen explosive growth in recent months, reaching a massive $9 billion market value.
