A new report by Sygnum Bank reveals a significant shift in cryptocurrency investor behavior for 2025, highlighting diversification as the leading driver. The report shows that 57% of respondents prioritize portfolio diversification, outweighing the pursuit of long-term crypto price gains (down from 62%). This indicates investors are increasingly viewing cryptocurrency as an integral part of their overall investment portfolios. Despite this focus on diversification, 45% still view Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as safe haven assets against macroeconomic risks such as rising sovereign debt, inflation, geopolitical tensions, and declining trust in traditional currencies. Interest in crypto as a new alternative asset class has declined to just 28%, indicating a shift in investor priorities.
