Hunter Horsley, CEO of Bitwise, offered his perspective on the future of Digital Asset Financial Companies (DATs) in a recent post on X. He explained that, despite high-growth potential, most DATs are expected to trade at a discount due to factors like liquidity constraints, operational costs, and associated risks. Only those companies able to significantly increase the value of crypto assets per share may achieve premium pricing. Horsley also predicts that DATs will transition into more operational forms, likely acquiring smaller privately-held crypto firms during this process. The digital asset management sector is still in its nascent stage, making the precise trajectory difficult to foresee.
