A new 10-year Bitcoin simulation suggests that long-term investors may be overly concerned about timing their purchases, as the model indicates strong potential for growth regardless of entry point. According to researcher Sminston With, buying at today’s price levels near $94,000 could lead to significant gains over a decade through the power-law trajectory of Bitcoin’s returns. The study tested three scenarios: buying Bitcoin at varying prices with projected 10% withdrawals each year for investors to save and spend; selling at different points based on median price projection in 2035; and considering sell options at 20% above and below the median price. Results consistently showed profitable outcomes, even when entry point was set higher or lower than $94,000. The investor would end up with a remarkable return of more than seven times their initial investment after ten years of steady withdrawals.
