Lagride Captains Complain of Remittance Rules, Low Customer Requests

Drivers using the Lagos government-backed mobility platform Lagride are facing challenges with the app’s remittance policy and low customer demand. They complain about a daily N100,000 minimum remittance requirement that forces them to work long hours and endure financial pressure. Captains allege they struggle to make even N50,000 per day due to a lack of passenger requests, leading them to spend nights in their vehicles at the company’s parking lot in VI. One captain revealed he paid a 100,000 naira penalty for remitting less than N40,000 and spends up to 17 hours a day driving to meet the daily target.
