The U.S. Labor Department has revealed plans to release delayed unemployment claims data by Thursday, following a government shutdown. A spokesperson confirmed the agency’s intention to distribute the missing data directly on its website, as a result of technical complications that prematurely released the weekly data for the week ending October 18, showing 232,000 claims. The department will not issue a press release for this delayed data. Meanwhile, the Labor Department is scheduled to release September’s Producer Price Index (PPI) on November 25th and the Import and Export Price Index on December 3rd at 21:30 UTC+8. The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has also announced plans to begin publishing trader position reports, with the first report expected early Thursday morning UTC+8 this week. This new schedule will continue until January 23rd when the publication schedule will return to normal.
