A joint investigation by The New York Times and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) has shed light on the significant role cryptocurrency exchanges play in money laundering activities. A report released on November 17th revealed that these exchanges facilitated an estimated $28 billion in illicit funds over a two-year period.
