Secondly, the conference stressed stringent legal action against cross-border online gambling crimes. It highlighted the importance of holding accountable those providing services or disseminating harmful information on online platforms. Collaboration with relevant departments will be crucial for dismantling online gambling promotion networks. Finally, the conference called for intensified efforts to combat upstream illegal activities infringing on citizens’ personal information. This includes severe penalties for ‘insiders’ within industries and potential employment bans when necessary. The goal is to strengthen regulatory responsibilities of online platforms.
