Bybit Identifies 16 Blockchains with Potential for User Fund Freezing

A security research team at cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has identified 16 blockchain networks that could theoretically freeze or restrict user funds. The Lazarus Security Lab report, examining the impact of such fund freezing capabilities across multiple blockchains, analyzed a total of 166 networks. The team found that prominent chains like BNB Chain are hardcoded with these functions and others like Cosmos possess the potential for introducing them via minor protocol changes.
