Kazakhstan to Establish $1 Billion Crypto Reserve Fund by 2026

Kazakhstan is making a significant move towards embracing cryptocurrencies as part of its financial system. The country’s National Bank plans to launch a national cryptocurrency reserve fund with an estimated value of $500 million to $1 billion by the end of 2025 or early 2026. This initiative will be funded by seized assets from criminal activities and capital drawn from gold, foreign currency reserves, potentially partially converted into Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies.
