Berachain Secures Funds After Major BEX/Balancer v2 Hack

The Berachain (BERA) Foundation has successfully recovered the approximately $12.8 million stolen in the recent BEX/Balancer v2 attack. Funds are being gradually restored to affected users, and withdrawal functionality for deposits outside of the impacted pools will remain temporarily suspended for security reasons while investigations continue. The foundation’s swift response included blocking bridge withdrawals, halting USDe deposits, and suspending honey minting operations in the wake of the attack. A hard fork process was initiated to secure funds, and HONEY token minting and redemption have been reinstated, but BEX swaps, deposits, and withdrawals remain restricted. This disruption may cause temporary discrepancies with APR data due to a 24-hour halt in chainwide incentive (BGT) and reward flows. *This is not investment advice.*
