Microsoft Bets Big on AI: $9.7B Deal Secures GPU Power from Texas Bitcoin Miner

In a major shift in the digital infrastructure landscape, Microsoft has struck a $9.7 billion cloud-hosting agreement with IREN, a Texas-based bitcoin miner. This deal transforms IREN’s Childress facility into one of Microsoft’s largest AI data centers, dedicated to powering artificial intelligence (AI) workloads by 2026.
