AERO Token Rallies 7% on Strong Accumulation and Bullish Breakout

Aerodrome’s native token, AERO, witnessed a significant surge of 7%, reaching the crucial $1 level. The rally was fueled by a substantial increase in trading volume (10%) and notable accumulation from large holders, often referred to as whales. This surge is attributed to expanding DeFi applications within the Aerodrome ecosystem and increasing institutional investment. Data analysis reveals that whales have accumulated AERO holdings by 5.9% over the past five days, adding approximately 90.5 million tokens. 10% volume increase was accompanied by a three-month high token buyback by Aerodrome, worth $453,000. CryptoWinkle, an analyst, commented on AERO’s breakout above resistance at $0.94, accompanied by a bullish MACD crossover on the daily chart. This has boosted short-term momentum and set expectations for targets around $1.20 if support remains above $0.94. Adding to the excitement, Animoca Brands, a prominent player in Web3 gaming and digital assets, announced its acquisition of an undisclosed amount of AERO tokens. This move effectively removes tokens from circulation and grants Animoca long-term governance power within Aerodrome’s ecosystem. This acquisition underscores Animoca’s recognition of the platform’s growing influence as a core infrastructure layer for DeFi activity on Base and a thriving user base. Furthermore, MWX, a decentralized AI marketplace for small and medium enterprises, launched its token, MWXT, on Aerodrome. The AERO price analysis indicates a breakout from a symmetrical triangle pattern on the daily chart, holding above both the 20-day Bollinger Band midpoint ($1.01) and the upper triangle boundary. This price rise has pushed past the midline with the upper band near $1.42, acting as the next resistance zone. Meanwhile, the MACD confirms a bullish crossover is in progress, with histogram momentum shifting positive. With the RSI at 52.6 and BoP reading 0.51, buyers are gaining strength to counteract bears. If bullish momentum holds, AERO could target $1.20 followed by $1.42, the upper Bollinger boundary. However, failure to maintain support above $1.00 may trigger a pullback towards $0.80-$0.85, where buyers previously stepped in.
