A new seed investment of $11 million has secured funding for VideoTutor, an AI-powered education platform that aims to make quality learning more accessible globally. Led by YZi Labs, the initiative is backed by prominent investors such as JinQiu Fund and Baidu Ventures, joining a broader investment scope expanded by YZi Labs this year. The funding will be used to accelerate research and development of the platform’s AI animation engine and expand its engineering team. Founded in Silicon Valley by entrepreneur Kai Zhao at 20 years old, VideoTutor utilizes large language models (LLM) and Manim-based visual technology to create personalized, animated tutorials for each student’s unique learning needs. The platform has already seen success, with over 20,000 videos created in its first ten days of operation, attracting more than 20,000 users across the U.S. and securing partnerships with thousands of educational institutions worldwide.
