Acting SEC Chair Uyeda proposes ‘sandbox’ for crypto firms offering tokenized securities

Mark Uyeda, acting chair of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), has suggested a regulatory ‘sandbox’ for cryptocurrency firms seeking to offer tokenized securities trading. During the SEC’s Crypto Task Force’s second roundtable focused on crypto trading, Uyeda expressed interest in a framework that would allow both registered and unregistered exchanges offering these tokenized securities to operate within a clear regulatory environment.
