Ireland’s AB Charity Foundation has launched its global operations, marking the start of a groundbreaking public good initiative backed by blockchain technology. The organization, based in Dublin and recognized for its EU legal status, is committed to reshaping how governments, civil society organizations, and the tech community collaborate to deliver impactful social change. Drawing on expertise from former heads of state, the Foundation’s governance structure ensures transparency and accountability. The foundation is leveraging AB DAO’s blockchain infrastructure to create a scalable model for philanthropy that prioritizes verifiable donations and efficient distribution of funds. 15% to 30% of transaction fees on the AB public chain will be channeled into a dedicated charity pool, ensuring every donation is traceable. Additionally, returns generated from investments in the AB Ecosystem Fund will also benefit the Foundation’s pool, bolstering its financial sustainability. AB Charity Foundation aspires to become a blueprint for transparent philanthropy in the future by leveraging blockchain technology to enhance trust and foster global collaboration.
