Russia Proposes Cryptocurrency as Marital Property in Divorce Proceedings

A new legislative proposal has been submitted to the Russian parliament, seeking to classify cryptocurrencies as marital property subject to division during divorce proceedings. This initiative is aimed at addressing concerns about growing cryptocurrency investments among Russians and providing a legal framework for handling these assets in marital disputes. The draft law was introduced by Igor Antropenko, a member of the Industrial and Trade Committee representing the ruling United Russia party.
