The partial shutdown, which began earlier this month, has already lasted 20 days, surpassing any previous record set nearly seven years ago when President Donald Trump was in office. Prediction market Kalshi estimates the current shutdown may last around 41 days, a significant increase from the initial prediction of just 14 days two weeks ago.
