Social media pranksters have been using artificial intelligence (AI) to generate images of a ‘homeless man’ appearing in homes, causing widespread public concern and straining emergency resources. Police departments are issuing warnings about these pranks after they caused unnecessary panic and diverted police responses across the U.S.
