OKX CEO Condemns Huione Group Following $15 Billion DOJ Enforcement Action

OKX CEO and founder, Star Xu, has strongly criticized the controversial Cambodian financial conglomerate, Huione Group, accusing it of causing significant harm to the crypto industry. In a statement issued following a joint enforcement action by the US Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), FinCEN, and the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO), Xu clarified that OKX maintains strict compliance controls to avoid any association with the entity. This follows a multi-agency crackdown targeting large-scale scam networks across Southeast Asia.
