White House Could Grant Binance Founder CZ a Pardon

The Trump administration is reportedly leaning toward granting a pardon to Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, co-founder of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance. Zhao pleaded guilty in 2024 to money laundering charges and spent four months in prison as part of a deal with US authorities. Sources close to him claim that these charges were not strong enough to warrant felony charges or imprisonment.
