Bitcoin Experiences 7.03% Kimchi Premium on October 13th in South Korea

On October 13th, Bitcoin prices saw a notable surge on the South Korean Upbit exchange, reaching 171.8 million KRW as of 12:00 AM KST. This represented an increase of 0.83% from the previous day’s levels. Bitcoin was priced at 160.52 million KRW on global exchange Binance, creating a price gap of 11.28 million KRW and resulting in a Kimchi Premium of 7.03%. Ethereum (ETH), the leading altcoin, also exhibited a Kimchi Premium of 6.87%, with other major tokens such as Solana (SOL), XRP (XRP), Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) showing similar levels around 6.8% to 7.1%.
