Galaxy Digital Secures $460 Million for AI-Powered Data Center Transformation

Galaxy Digital has secured a significant investment of $460 million to transform its former Bitcoin mining facility in Texas into a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence (AI) data center. The company announced the funding round, involving the acquisition of 12.77 million Class A shares at a price of $36 per share, on Friday. This investment will be utilized for general corporate purposes and the expansion of its Helios campus. The facility is expected to provide 133 megawatts of IT capacity by early 2026. The transaction is currently slated to close on October 17, 2025, subject to approval from the Toronto Stock Exchange.
