Aster Delays Token Airdrop Amid Data Concerns, Promises Fairness

Aster has postponed its upcoming token airdrop after users flagged data inconsistencies and expressed concerns over unfair allocations. The exchange now targets a new date of October 20th for the redistribution as it addresses the discrepancies. While the platform acknowledges potential adjustments to certain user allocations, it assures that most participants will maintain their initial token count.

The delay comes after community members raised complaints about unusually low ASTER token allocations using the newly launched “S2 airdrop checker.” Some users expressed dissatisfaction and demanded greater transparency from the team. 153,000 wallets qualified for the second phase of the Genesis airdrop, contributing to a surge in trading volume last month.

Despite these issues, the ASTER token has remained relatively stable during this recent market volatility, trading around $1.69. The delay is viewed as an opportunity for Aster to regain user trust and rebuild confidence in its long-term vision.
