JPMorgan Economist Sees Fed Rate Cut Approaching

Michael Feroli, an economist at JPMorgan, predicts that the Federal Reserve will lower interest rates by 25 basis points to a range of 4.0% to 4.25%, possibly as early as next week. He anticipates two or three dissenting voices in favor of further rate reductions, while no members are likely to support keeping current rates unchanged. Notably, the dot plot suggests additional cuts beyond 2025.
