Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has shed light on the complexities of achieving full account abstraction, as per Foresight News. He stated that a complete transition away from intermediaries is currently infeasible due to the need for ECDSA verification in transactions. This reliance on intermediaries can hinder privacy and resistance against censorship, ultimately diminishing individual autonomy in actions. Buterin highlighted that if accounts become independent of intermediaries for transactions, achieving quantum security would be impossible. Moreover, developing a robust privacy protocol independent of the vulnerable public broadcast ecosystem presents a formidable challenge. He acknowledged the substantial obstacles involved and expressed concern that industry reliance on intermediaries might increase before these critical issues are resolved.
