South Korean institutional Bitcoin vault company, Bitplanet, has completed a significant acquisition worth $50 million in the form of an equity stake purchase. This deal involving 62% ownership, marks a milestone for both companies and involves investors like Sora Ventures, Parafi Capital, and KCGI. A further $10 million investment came from UTXO Management and Kingsway Capital, signaling increased interest in enterprise-level Bitcoin holdings. Bitplanet aims to solidify its place as one of the top ten globally recognized Bitcoin holders within the enterprise space. This acquisition is strategically positioned to position South Korea as a key center for international Bitcoin operations.
