Blockchain analytics firm Bubblemaps has uncovered what it claims is one of the largest Sybil attacks ever recorded in crypto, potentially impacting a highly anticipated token launch. The attack involved nearly 100 newly created wallets that collectively claimed over 9.8 million MYX tokens, valued at approximately $170 million. This massive claim occurred during the project’s recent airdrop program, raising serious concerns about the integrity of the token distribution model. Bubblemaps notes that these wallets received similar amounts of BNB from OKX a week before the airdrop and claimed MYX tokens simultaneously at around 5:30 am on May 7th, suggesting organized coordination.
