Cboe to Introduce 10-Year Bitcoin & Ethereum Perpetual Futures Contracts in November

Cboe is set to revolutionize cryptocurrency trading with the launch of perpetual futures contracts for Bitcoin and Ethereum in November. Unlike traditional futures that expire, these contracts will feature maturities of up to 10 years, simplifying long-term exposure for investors while reducing costs and complexity associated with constant position resets. Catherine Clay, Cboe’s global derivatives chief, notes that this new structure has already gained traction in international markets, and the U.S. is now poised for a regulated alternative.
