Revolut, a prominent European financial app with over 45 million users across 50 countries, has listed the native token of the Ethereum layer-2 project Taiko, TAIKO. This listing marks a significant step towards mainstream adoption of the cryptocurrency. Revolut’s platform now offers direct access to purchase and trade TAIKO for its user base. The integration allows for fiat-to-crypto on-ramps, potentially boosting liquidity for the token. 40 million users will be able to purchase TAIKO within the app. Taiko utilizes a unique “based rollup” design that leverages the native security and sequencing features of Ethereum. This innovation offers speed and scalability without sacrificing decentralization. The project’s success has been reflected in its impressive growth since its mainnet launch in June 2024, processing more than 2 million daily transactions and registering over 210 million distinct wallet addresses.
