Aethir, a decentralized compute network, has partnered with Arizona State University (ASU)’s Endless Games and Learning Lab. This collaboration marks Aethir’s first venture with an educational institution, and aims to pilot real-world applications of applied AI within game-based learning environments. ASU’s reputation for innovation and patent achievements makes it a perfect partner for Aethir’s ambitious project. The Endless Games and Learning Lab will leverage Aethir’s distributed AI compute platform for research, student development, and interactive learning experiences. The initiative is receiving $3 million in support from Aethir’s network credits. This partnership is expected to launch early academic years of 2025-2026. Aethir’s global network boasts over 435,000 containers of virtual GPU-powered hardware across more than 90 countries, including significant presences in Singapore, the US, and Hong Kong. Mark Ollila, Director of ASU’s Endless Games and Learning Lab, expressed excitement for the partnership, stating it will enable the scaling of their ambitions through a high-performance global AI infrastructure. He emphasized his vision to make educational AI and game-based learning accessible and meaningful. Aethir’s Chief Revenue Officer, Paul Thind, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the potential of AI and edge computing to unlock new avenues for learning, creativity, and collaboration among students and researchers alike.
