Ethereum’s Holešky Testnet to Shutter After Two Years

The Ethereum Protocol Coordination team has announced the end of the Holešky testnet after two years of operation. This decision follows a series of technical challenges experienced during the Pectra upgrade, which led to difficulties for validators and hindered its ability to accurately simulate real-world validator operations. Holešky played an important role in testing critical protocol upgrades, but its shortcomings have prompted developers to move testing operations to newer testnets like Hoodi and Sepolia.
