Hong Kong & South Korea Join Forces on Virtual Asset Regulation

South Korea is exploring collaborations with Hong Kong’s burgeoning virtual asset market, according to a recent development revealed by Hong Kong Legislative Council member Ng Kit Chuang. The collaboration emerged as both nations focused on developing robust regulations for the industry. Earlier in April, South Korean Financial Supervisory Service Chairman Lee Bok-hyun met with Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission CEO Julia Leung. The meeting served as a platform to discuss current trends and future regulatory frameworks within the virtual asset trading sector. The two entities pledged to continue their close collaboration on ensuring a stable and compliant market environment for virtual assets.
