Canary Capital Files for US-Made Crypto ETF: New Player in the Market?

Canary Capital has filed with the SEC to launch a spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) focused on U.S.-origin cryptocurrencies. The firm seeks approval for the Canary American-Made Crypto ETF, which aims to track the Made-in-America Blockchain Index and trade under the ticker “MRCA” on the Cboe BZX Exchange. The ETF will hold a portfolio of crypto assets meeting specific criteria: either being originated in the U.S., majority minted domestically with proof-of-work or proof-of-stake protocols, or having U.S.-based core operations.
