This week’s ARK development activity report highlights the tireless work of our team in advancing blockchain technology. Key updates include resolving issues with ARK Connect and expanding its functionality; enhancing error reasoning for failed transactions; improving documentation; addressing user feedback on Mainsail; and preparing for future releases.
**ARK Connect:** The ARK Connect extension received major updates, including syncing PSDK changes to address transaction sending problems and correcting the transaction approval screen. Next week, testing and addressing reported issues will continue.
**ARK Scan:** Focused on improving error reasoning for failed transactions and enhancing efficiency, the team introduced various fixes, refactors, and optimizations. Key improvements include improved user feedback on transaction errors, clearer logic for detecting insufficient funds and out-of-gas errors, and improved caching of transaction resignation IDs.
**Documentation Site:** The documentation site saw updates including detailed instructions on setting up the Mainsail API, a guide to configuring validators on nodes, and enhanced explanations for handling failed transactions. Additionally, we improved the PHP Crypto module to provide more specific reasons for transaction failure.
**ARK Vault:** The team focused on addressing issues reported during testing with UI fixes and general adjustments. They implemented features like address name editing, an updated explorer link opening in the addresses side panel, and a focus on user experience improvements like smoother navigation.
**Mainsail:** Mainsail EVM Testnet saw significant improvements including faster node synchronization and optimized syncing behavior. Other notable updates include new configuration options for setting validators via BLS12-381 private keys.
